Selecting the applicable roles for form sections

When an appraisal form is used as the template to generate appraisal forms for specific resources, these forms can be generated:

  • A manager version

  • An employee version, if self appraisals are allowed

  • An other rater version, if other raters are allowed

Indicate the sections that are displayed in each version of the appraisal. A section can be valid for all roles or for one or two of the roles. For example, you might not want an other rater to have access to the Resource section.

Note: Other raters are restricted from Third-Party, Goal, Future Goals, Completed Activities, and Planned Activities sections. Employees are restricted only from Third-Party sections. Managers have no restrictions.
  1. Select Administrator > Performance > Appraisal Forms.
  2. On the Forms tab, open the appraisal form.
  3. Click the Form Sections tab.

    All valid sections are displayed for the appraisal versions. By default, when you attach a section, the section is valid for each role that is not restricted.

  4. Open each section to change the roles.
  5. Select the check box for each role for which the section is valid.
    Note: Restricted roles are unavailable.
  6. Click Save.
