Creating pulse survey programs

Pulse survey programs are continuous performance programs where a selected group of employees are asked questions that were specifically selected for that program.

To create a new pulse survey program, follow these steps:

  1. Select Employee Engagement > Pulse > Setup > Pulse Survey Programs.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Pulse Survey Program
    Specify a name and description for the program.
    Eligibility Group
    Select a work assignment group from the list. For a new work assignment group, create the group and add the subject HCMGroupContinuousPerformance.
    Select Responder
    Select a value from the list to determines the assignee for the program questions.
    Begin Date
    Specify the dates for which this program is open.
    End Date
    Specify the dates for which this program is open.
    Active
    Select this check box if the program is active and questions can be assigned.
    Program Locked
    Select this check box to lock the program. No changes are allowed to the program.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Click Helper List on the Questions tab.
  6. Select the questions that apply to the program, then click Add.
    To create a new question, click Create. See Creating questions in the question library. You must manually add the new question to the program.
  7. Click Close.
    The questions are displayed on the Questions list. The questions are assigned an order to determine when the questions are assigned. You can change the assignment order if there is a question that must be asked before another question. Responders are displayed on the Employees in Program tab.
    To assign the next unassigned question to all eligible employees, click Mass Assign Question.
    • On the scheduler, you can schedule when the next unassigned question is assigned or assign it immediately.
    • To check eligibility, verify that the Scheduled Action Name field contains CheckProgramEligibility. If an employee is no longer eligible, then they are not assigned the question.
    To assign a question to one employee, select Employee Engagement > Pulse > Employee Programs > Employees In Program. Select the program, right-click an eligible employee and select Assign Question. Optionally, specify a scheduled date. The next unassigned question on the Question tab is assigned to that employee.
    To create a copy of a pulse survey program, right-click the program and click Create From Copy. Update the Name field, update the other fields, and click Submit.
