Activating a position plan

Only one position plan can be active for a given period date. If an active plan exists for the position plan period range, you must inactivate it or revert it to Preliminary status.

You can activate a preliminary or inactive position plan.

  1. Select Position Budget Manager > Position Plans.
  2. Select the position plan and click Activate.

    This prompt is displayed:

    Activating a plan will also run the action to build the position plan assigned resources; continue?
  3. Click Yes.

    The status is changed to Active.

  4. Select Position Budget Manager > Reports > Budget Variance to view the initial counts.

    When a plan has been activated, position plan rules are enforced for the plan dates.
