Health records

A health record contains a record of the employer-required health components that an employee has completed during the employment period.

You can track whether an employee is in compliance with occupational-health requirements, for example immunizations. You can view expiration dates and create renewals that are scheduled to occur within a predefined period of time.

After an employee completes an assigned health component, the component is added or "generated" to the cumulative health record of the employee.

Note: This health record is not personal health record for the employee.

Employees can view their own employer-maintained health records by logging into the application as Employee.

Expiration maintenance

Health records can expire, if set up to do so, because their previous completion is no longer sufficient to meet requirements. For example, a tetanus shot is considered to have lost its effectiveness after ten years.

  • An expiring health record is an assignment to a component whose Expiration Date value is within the configured alert time-range.
  • An expired health record is an assignment to a component that the employee did not complete.

You can view health records that have expired or are about to expire. You can schedule the search for expired or near-expired records to run at regular intervals. You can trigger renewal of the health record for an individual or a group.

Renewal

You can set up a health component assignment to renew automatically on a specified date. For example, you can require nurses to get tested every week for COVID-19. The mass-renewal option searches in health records for a specified eligibility group. If there are records whose Renewal Date values are within the specified time range for renewal, then this action renews them.
