Creating a health series

  1. Sign in as Health & Safety Management.
  2. Select Set Up > Occupational Health > Health Series.
    The Health Series page is displayed.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Specify this information:
    Series
    Specify a code for the health series.
    Description
    Specify additional information about the components that belong in the series.
    Active
    Clear the check box to hide the series from users.
  5. Click Save.
    Additional tabs are displayed.
  6. On the Components tab, click Create.
  7. Specify this information:
    Occupational Health Component
    Select a health component to include in this series and click OK. If a suitable component is not available, then you can add one.

    Result Type
    View the result type that was set up for the selected component. Some result types have two possible outcomes, for example Positive/Negative or Pass/Fail. In these cases, two fields are displayed in the Outcomes pane after you save. You can define an outcome for a Positive result and a separate outcome for Negative result.
    Due Date Calculation
    The value is calculated from component information. Optionally, change the calculation method to use for the health component.
    Expiration Date Calculation
    The value is calculated from component information. Optionally, change the calculation method to use for the health component.
    Renewal Date Calculation
    The value is calculated from component information. Optionally, change the calculation method to use for the health component.
  8. Click Save.
    The Outcomes pane becomes available.
  9. Optionally, specify this information in the Outcomes pane to trigger a second component that depends on the outcome of the first component:
    Outcome 1
    Select an outcome and click OK. You can select another health component to add to the series if this is the outcome of the first component. You can leave this blank if this outcome does not require that an additional component be completed.
    Outcome 2
    Select an outcome and click OK. You can select another health component to add to the series if this is the outcome of the first component. You can leave this blank if this outcome does not require that an additional component be completed.
    Note: To add more than two components to the series, you must return to the Health Series page after saving.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Click the browser Back button to return to the list of series.
  12. Open the row for the new series.
  13. Optionally, to add more components to the series, open the row for the most recently added component. In the Outcome field for that component, click the icon, select the next component, then click OK. Repeat these steps if more components are required.
  14. Click the Positions tab.
  15. Optionally, attach the component to future employees who are hired into this position.
  16. Select the check box for each position whose current employees must complete the series.
  17. Click Assign Health Series by Position.
    Specify this information:
    Reason
    Select a reason for the series.
    Comments
    You can add comments that are related to this series.
  18. Click Submit.
