Manager safety log

Use the Manager Safety Log page to view important safety metrics about your staff as a whole. You can view aggregate information about these record types:

  • Observations

Observations are reports of safety or near-miss accounts that is later converted to a safety incident or near-miss incident or closed.

  • Safety Incidents

Safety incidents are observation records that have been validated as involving a safety violation or hazard. The process to complete the incident record includes reporting information about injuries or impacts to employees and non-employees. OSHA and for non-regulatory reports also require the incident date and time, location, follow-up actions, and cause assessment.

Near misses are situations or events that did not cause harm to people. They are instances that may recur in the future and cause possible injuries if they are not prevented. For example, a near miss can be reported if an employee did not wear safety goggles, or if unsafe practices were used when operating machinery.

  • Safe Behavior

Employee safe behaviors are reports of good safety practices that are performed by an employee and recognized by another employee. As a manager, you can validate safe-behavior records that were reported about your direct reports.
