Reviewing or updating job applications (hiring manager)

You can only view candidates that are in the Hiring Manager Review, Qualify, or Disposition selection process and for whom you are the hiring manager.

  1. Select Acquire Talent > Candidates And Requisitions.

All the requisitions for which you are the hiring manager are displayed on the Requisitions list, whether or not they have candidates to review.

  2. Select the requisition and click the selection process tab where the job application is located.

The number refers to the number of job applications that are currently in that selection process. For example, 2 on the Hiring Manager Review tab indicates that two candidates for the requisitions are in the hiring manager review process. Click the resume link to open the candidate's resume.

  3. Open the job application you want to review.

The job application shows the source, ranking, application status, fit analysis (broken down by competency fit, skill fit, education fit, and credential fit), and question results.

  4. Open the job application.
    Note:

You cannot update the job application. All you can do is send emails, attach documents, set up and update interviews (but not online interviews), move the candidate to the Qualify status, or disposition the candidate.

  5. To review the job application, click each tab or print the job application to a file.

To print the entire job application, select Actions > Options > Print To File. In the Print Options field, select All Tabs, then select Print.

The generated PDF file opens. You can print it or save it to a folder. The system also saves the file. You can access under Options > Print Files or under Start > My Print Files.

  6. To view the job application online, these tabs are available:
    Tab Description
    Talent Profile

    Use this tab to view:

    • (For current employees only) The employee's work assignments.

Open a work assignment to see additional information such as the pay rate and start date.

Click View History to view historical changes made to the work assignment.

    • The candidate's talent attributes (qualifications)

The talent attributes include the candidate's employment history, education, skills and competencies, credentials and achievements.

Preferences Use this tab to view the candidate's work preferences.
    Fit Analysis

Use this tab to view the detailed fit analysis for the candidate. This fit analysis lists the elements included in the percent fit value that are displayed on the job application.

The fit percent is displayed followed by a spider graph that compares the position's skills and competency requirements with the candidate's qualification. Click Graph to view the same information as a bar or pie graph.

Scroll down to view a list of the position's essential or essential and non-essential qualifications included in the percent fit calculation. For each included qualification, a red alert denotes "No Match" or a green alert denotes "Match." The percent fit is derived by dividing the number of qualifications that match by the total number of qualifications included in the calculations.

Organization settings define whether only essential or both essential and nonessential qualifications are included in the qualifications and which qualification types are included in the calculations.

Questions Results Use this tab to view the candidate's responses to any questions on the online job application.
    Correspondence

Use this tab to view or add correspondence, attachments, and notes.

You can send an email directly to the candidate by clicking the email link under the candidate's name by clicking the Correspondence link.

    • To log correspondence related to the application that took place outside the system (for example, a phone call), select Track Correspondence. Select the correspondence type, type a note, and save.

    • To add an attachment, select the Attachments panel or click the Attachments link. Click Create, add the attachment, and click OK.

    • To view an attachment (for example a resume or cover letter), select the Attachments panel or click the Attachments link.

    • To view the candidate resume, click the resume link.

    • To view notes for the job application, access the Notes panel or click the Notes link. Open a note to see the detail.

    Interviews

Use this tab to track interviews and access the responses to online interviews. You can add the results of an interview you conducted, and click the link to an online interview (assuming the recruiter has sent it to the candidate) to view the candidate's answers.

You can add a telephone or onsite interview on the record: Select All Actions Menu > Create. Only recruiters can request online interviews.

You can also track and add interviews by clicking the Interviews link.

    Offer And Contract

If your organization is not configured for Legacy Employment Contracts, then this tab is labeled Offer.

Although the Offer and Contract tab is available to you, it does not include information when you review the job application. It is likely that you will receive a job offer or a contract document in your inbasket to review as part of the job offer process, but at this stage, the job application will not be available to you on the Candidates and Requisitions page.
On Board Although the Onboard tab is available to you, it will not contain any information when you review the job application. Onboarding information is available to you on To Do > Transition Tasks.
References Use this tab to view references submitted by the candidate.
    Contact Information

Use this tab to view a candidate's contact information (email addresses, primary and secondary phone numbers, mailing and residential addresses).

The format is different between internal candidates who already have an employee record in Infor HR Talent, and external candidates who have only provided basic contact information.

    Self Identification

Use this tab to view self-identification characteristics, if available to you.

Depending on your country configuration, this information may be displayed or be specified: gender, ethnicity code, disability type, nationality, veteran code, religion, marital status, or birth date.

    Other Applications

Use this tab to view all the positions the candidate has applied for and their processing status.

The positions Applied To link shows the number of positions the candidate has applied to. You can click this link to view the same information in a different format.

You can only see the other job applications if you are the hiring manager and if they are in the Hiring Manager Review, Qualify, or Disposition selection process.
