Nominating an employee to a succession pool or position

You can nominate an employee to a respective succession pool or position. No approval process is required. After the action is taken, the employee is included on a list of successors for that pool in succession management.

  1. Select My Staff.
  2. Right-click the employee.
  3. Select Nominate As Successor.
  4. Specify this information:
    Position
    Select a position.
    Status
    The status is automatically assigned as Proposed.
    Recommendation Date
    Optionally, define the recommendation date.
    Readiness
    Optionally, select the employee readiness for the role. Options include Ready 1-3 Years, Ready in 3-5 Years, or READY NOW.
    Pool Source
    For the pool source to be automatic, select AUTOMATIC.
    Comments
    Specify comments.
  5. Click OK.
    Note: If an employee is already nominated, then a warning is displayed that the employee is already present in the pool. Click Yes to update the resource. Click No to return to the nomination form.
