To assign a mentee to a direct report

  1. Select Manager > Develop Employees > Mentors.
  2. Select the mentor for whom you want to assign a mentee and click Assign Mentee.
    Note: 

    You can search on the Is A Mentor column = Yes to view all your direct and indirect reports who are mentors.

  3. Specify this information:
    Mentee

    Select the mentee that you want to assign to the mentor.

    All resources in the organization display on the select list.

    Primary Mentor For Mentee

    Select this checkbox if you want the mentor to be this mentee's primary mentor.

    There can be only one primary mentor for a mentee. If the mentee already has a primary mentor, selecting this checkbox will make the new mentor the primary mentor. If the mentee does not yet have a mentor, the first mentor that you define for the mentee is the primary mentor.

  4. Click OK.
  5. Click the Mentees tab under the selected mentor to verify that the mentee has been added.
