Copying a goal year

You can copy a goal year. This will result in a goal year where only the goal year and start date are changed. You can then make changes until organizational or resource goals are associated with the goal year.

Note:

Do not use this action if you want to change the action plan frequency. It cannot be changed after a goal year is created.

  1. Access Administrator > Setup > Goals > Goal Years.
  2. With the goal you want to copy selected, click Actions > Copy Goal Year.
  3. Use the following guidelines to enter field values.
    New Goal Year

Type the name and description of the new goal year. If you do not enter a description, the name will default.

    New Start Date

Type or select the new start date.

  4. Click OK.

The new goal year is created with the new start date and action plan periods corresponding to the frequency of the source goal year, but starting with the new start date as well.

On the Details tab, the only fields you cannot change are the Goal Year (the description can be changed), and Frequency.

Goal type and goal category settings are identical to the source goal year, but can be changed until new organizational or resource goals are attached to the goal year.

By default, the new goal year is not the current goal year. You can change that setting.
