Specifying results on organizational goals

  1. Select Results > Organizational Goals.
  2. Use the search filter to locate the goal to specify external results.
  3. Specify results directly in the months where you can add results.

Optionally, open the goal to view or update the frequency and monthly result values on the Results tab or the Result Ranges on the Rating Criteria tab.

Note: If you select a month to include in calculation but leave the result blank, then it has a zero (0.00) value. To exclude a month from calculation, clear the Include In Calculation check box for that month.
  4. Click Save.
    • These results are updated on the form:
      • The goal weight. For example, 25%.
      • The calculation method and current results of that calculation. For example, Average is 10.5, which represents the average of the numbers specified so far.
      • The rating level for the range that the results fall in. For example, 10.5 may fall within level 5 (10 to 14.99).
      • The current score. This is the rating multiplied by the weight. For example, 5 * 25/100 = 1.25.
    • All the directly aligned resource goals or all aligned resource goals are updated with the same results, depending on the organizational goal's setting.
Note: This is a scheduled action that runs in the background, so you may not see the updates immediately on the resource goals.
  5. When all results are specified for the year, use the Complete Result Entry action on the Organizational Goal Results form to complete the organizational goal and its aligned resource goals.
After this action is completed, you can no longer specify results for this organizational goal.
    Caution:
This action completes all resource goals that are aligned with the organizational goal.
