Goal categories

Goal categories provide a means to group goals together for sorting and filtering.

Goal categories can be used more specifically for bonus objectives to set aggregate, maximum, and minimum weights to bonus objectives attached to a compensation program pay component. Aggregate, maximum, and minimum weights can also be used for non-bonus objective goals that are defined to be submitted and approved in batch for a goal year and must total 100% weight.

Goal categories are required only on bonus objectives that are associated with a pay component that defines specific goal categories for the bonus objectives to be created. To automatically create bonus objective periods when employees are enrolled, select Bonus Objective Period Auto Create on Pay Component.

Goal categories can also be defined as required under the setup for the goal year.
