Creating manager types

Manager types are not required. To use them, you must define them before you add manager roles to the manager structure.

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Structure > Managers.
  2. Click the Types tab.
  3. Click Create, and specify this information:
    Effective Date
    Select the date on which you want the manager type to be effective.
    Manager Type
    Specify the name of the manager type.
    Description
    Optionally, provide a description. If left blank, the default is the content in the Manager Type field.
    Level
    Optionally, specify the equivalence level of this manager unit type. This field is used to show equivalence between different manager roles regardless of their name or place in the manager structure.
    Active
    Select this check box to make the type active. Active is the default.
  4. Click Save.
