Adding North American Industrial Classifications

NAICS, or North American Industrial Classification System, uses codes to identify an industry group. The system is maintained by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget.

Organizations doing business with or in the U.S. must identify their industries.

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Prerequisites > Countries > North American Industrial Classifications.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    North American Industrial Classification Group
    Specify the name of the group.
    Description
    Specify a description for the group.
  4. Click Save.
    To view North American Industrial Classifications, select Administrator > Set Up > Prerequisites > Countries > North American Industrial Classifications. Right-click the classification and select Open.
