Updating superannuation contributions

To process updates on superannuation contributions, you must complete these tasks in this order:

  1. Re-calculate basis of contribution
  2. Update resource
  3. Process change

Use this procedure to complete the tasks:

  1. Select Administrator > Setup > Payroll > Basis of Contribution Setup.
  2. Click the Superannuation Pay Elements tab, and click the Helper List button.
  3. Select Pay Element (Other Allowance).
  4. Click the Create Superannuation Pay Element button, specify the Effective Date, and click OK.
  5. Click Close.
  6. To update the resource, select Benefits > Maintenance > Processes > Resource Updates.
  7. Select All Actions Menu > Resource Updates.
  8. Specify this information:
    Benefit Plan
    Select the appropriate benefit plan.
    Salary
    Select the check box.
    Reason
    Select the reason for the update.
  9. Click OK, and then click Refresh.
  10. To process the update to the superannuation contribution, apply the pending record after it has been reviewed. On the Resource Updates screen, click the Enrollment Updates tab and highlight the pending record. Click the Salary tab.
  11. Double-click the record to view the details of the change. To apply the change, highlight the record, and select Actions > .
