Setting up basis of contribution for Superannuation

Specify at least one pay element. If basic salary is the only basis of contribution, this setup is not required. Basic salary as basis of contribution can be defined in Benefits.

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Payroll > Basis of Contribution Setup.
  2. Specify this information:
    Effective Date
    Specify the effective date.
    Superannuation Map to Benefit
    Select which Other Amount field will indicate the wage value. Benefits uses the amount in the field specified to calculate the contribution for superannuation.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Click the Superannuation Pay Elements tab, and click the Helper List button to display the Pay Elements screen.
  5. Select one or more pay elements (such as Dearness), and click Create Superannuation Pay Element.
  6. Specify the Effective Date, and click OK.
  7. Click Close.
