Defining discrimination types

When a grievance is created, a discrimination type can be specified.

  1. Select Employee Relations > Set Up > Discrimination Types.
  2. Click New and specify this information:
    Discrimination Type
    Specify a name for the discrimination type.
    Description
    Provide a description for the discrimination type.
    Confirmation Message
    Provide the message that is used when a grievance is created using this discrimination type. If a confirmation message is added for the type, the grievance step, and the discrimination type, then all three confirmation messages are used.
    Representative
    Identify an individual as the representative for grievances with this discrimination type. The representative is available as a variable when creating email templates for grievances.
    Email Automation
    You can define this type so that an email is automatically sent when a grievance is created for this type. Select Automatic Email or No Emailas the Email Rule, and select an email template to use.
  3. Click Save.
