Proxy

These are things to consider if you are acting as a proxy:

  • You cannot update your own records if you act as a proxy for your own direct manager. Actions that you cannot perform include awarding compensation, defining bonus objectives, and completing a performance appraisal.

    • You cannot update your own compensation award record or define, update, or submit your own bonus objectives.

    • You cannot submit or cancel the salary awards you have updated if you are one of employees in the list of direct reports. Either your manager or another proxy who does not have any records in the list must submit or cancel salary awards. You can submit and cancel anniversary awards for employees other than yourself.

  • Incoming messages are accessed by selecting Inbox menu option of the You have new content toolbar icon. You have access to the manager's incoming messages, with these restrictions:

    • You can see the entire list of incoming messages for the manager. Security prevents you from opening incoming messages for business classes that are not part of the proxy role that is assigned to you.

    • Emails that would normally be sent to the manager (proxy grantor) when a process flow is executed are still sent to the manager. They are not sent to the proxy.

    • Action requests to withdraw or return that are resubmitted for approval will show that they are originated by the most recent submitter.

  • You have access to the actions for assign checklist and change due date actions only. All other proxy access is inquire only. Proxy managers cannot validate, cancel, or revert checklist components, and cannot complete or cancel employee checklists.
