Performing proxy tasks for managers

You can perform this procedure only if a manager has configured you to be their proxy for at least one role and if you have been assigned a proxy user role.

  1. Sign in as Employee.
  2. Select Proxy > Proxy Management to display the Security Proxy Management page.
  3. Select the manager for whom you will act as a proxy.
  4. You are signed in as if you were the manager for whom you are a proxy.

    When you access Manager, you can only perform the roles for which you have been granted proxy. For example, if you have been granted Hiring Manager proxy, you can perform all the tasks a hiring manager can perform, but you cannot perform salary awarding tasks.

  5. Perform the proxy tasks as if you were the manager.

    A manager can award you one or more of these roles:

    • Direct Manager, which gives you access to all the manager's supervisory tasks.

    • Bonus Objective, which lets you define bonus objectives for the manager's resources.

    • Salary Awarding, which lets you make salary awards to the manager's Resources.

    • Hiring Manager, which lets you review and process candidates for requisitions for which the manager is hiring manager.

  6. Select Proxy Management to display a menu that includes your workspace.
    If you are proxy for more than one manager, you can repeat these steps for another manager.
