Adding a dependent after a life event

The Life Events menu is available if it has been configured by an administrator.

  1. Select Benefits > Life Events.
  2. On the Your dependents tab, select the appropriate event: Birth or Adoption.
  3. Specify the information for the new dependent:
    Identification Number

    The identification number for the dependent, such as their social security number. The identification number is assumed to be in the format of whatever country is in the resource's address.

    A dependent can have one identification number per country. To add more than one identification number for a dependent, add one here, and then open the dependent's record and add more numbers on the Identification Numbers tab.

    Address

    Select the check box identifying which address to use (home or mailing address), or specify a new address for the dependent. You cannot select My Home Address or My Mailing Address and then also specify an address for the dependent.

  4. Click OK.
