Investigating an observation

Perform this task if you have been assigned to investigate an observation.
  1. Sign in as Employee.
  2. Select Health and Safety > My Investigations. Click the Observations tab.
    Or,

    Select Health and Safety > Safety tab pane. View the pane for Observation Investigations.

  3. Select a record and click the Update action.
    The Observation Investigations page is displayed.
  4. Review the information on the Details, Detail Description, Location, and Attachments tabs.
  5. Click the Investigations tab.
  6. Complete the Recommendation field by selecting either Generate Incident or Close Observation.
    Close Observation ends further processing of reported events. Generate Incident moves the report to the Safety Incidents or Near Miss Incidents section.
  7. In the Findings field, specify your detailed findings about the observation.
    Optionally, add an attachment on the Attachments tab.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Click Complete Investigation to complete the investigation and remove it from the investigation log.
    Note: Click Complete Investigation only after all investigations have been completed for the record.
