Calculating the fit for your current position

  1. Sign in as Employee.
  2. Select My Profile > Fit Analysis.
    Or, select My Development > Development Plan > Fit Analysis tab.
    Or, select My Learning and Development > Development Profile > Fit Analysis tab.
  3. On Fit Analysis, select your current position.
  4. Click Calculate Fit.

    The Last Calculated column is updated to today's date. A percentage is displayed in the Qualifications Fit field or graph.

    Each of the Competencies, Skills, Credentials, and Education panes contain this information:

    Column Description
    Essential A Yes value indicates that the qualification is essential to the position.
    Position Indicates the competency level that is required in this qualification for the position, for example, Intermediate.
    Resource Indicates the competency level that has been specified for you or by you in your profile.
    Expiration Date Displays the expiration date for the qualification.
    Gap This column is available only if your organization has configured your permissions to view this information.

    A Match value indicates that a match was found in your qualification or credential. A Below value indicates that your qualification or credential fell short of a match. An Exceed value indicates that your qualification level was too high to be considered an absolute match.
    Gap With Margin This column is available only if your organization has configured your permissions to view this information.

    A Match value indicates that a match was found in your qualification or credential. A Below value indicates that your qualification or credential fell short of a match. An Exceed value indicates that your qualification level was too high to be considered an absolute match.

    The values in the Gap With Margin column may differ from those in the Gap column. Recruiters and others can consider results that do not exactly match the position requirements. When margins are configured, a qualification that receives an Exceed or Below value in the Gap column might counted as a Match.
    Activities That Fill This Gap

    For qualifications that have a Below result in the Gap column, click the Suggested Activities button, if any. If your employer has identified catalog activities that have an outcome that would help you meet the qualification requirement, they are displayed. You can view, print, or request a suggested activity.
