Activities

You can request an activity from the catalog, from your profile, or from your development plan. As you work with activities in this application, these statuses are displayed:

  • Requested Activity - you or your manager has indicated that this activity is appropriate for you
  • Needs Registration - the activity was requested, but you did not select a session or selected a session for which there is no capacity
  • Requested Registration - you requested a session and your organization requires your manager to approve your registration requests. Your registration request is routed to your manager who will approve or reject it. If it is approved, the registration will be either confirmed or wait-listed, depending on your organization's configuration. If you requested a session and your organization does not require your manager to approve your registration requests, the registration is either confirmed or wait-listed.
  • Confirmed Registration - you requested an activity that is of a type that offers no sessions.
  • Wait Listed - your registration was received, but there was not space in the session for you. You can participate if another registrant withdraws
  • Registered - an activity for which you were previously wait listed now has space, and you are expected for the session
  • Reported As Finished - you, your manager, or the learning manager reported that you completed the activity. You or your manager can revert the activity to its previous status.

You can associate an activity or personal activity with a goal to show its relationship with the goal. If you then open the goal, you can see its associated activities and their status. If you open an activity, you can see its associated goals and their status. Completing an activity or personal activity that is associated with a goal does not change the goal-completion percentage.

If your organization uses learning budgets

  • You can request an activity by copying an existing active or historical activity. The activity request is displayed with a status of Requested Activity.

  • When the learning manager approves a requested activity, its status changes to Needs Registration. You can then register for a session. Or, if the activity is not of a type that offers sessions, its status changes to Confirmed Registration upon learning-manager approval.

If your organization uses Infor Learning Management

  • You can register for Infor Learning Management courses directly in Infor Learning Management. Your organization may also concurrently have internal activities for which you would use the normal process to request an activity.
  • You or your manager must access Infor Learning Management to register for sessions (events).
  • You will not see these statuses: Requested Activity, Needs Registration, Requested Registration, Wait Listed.
  • Activities that originated in Infor HR Talent have a status of Confirmed Registration. Activities that originated in Infor Learning Management have a status of Registered.
  • You will also see these statuses for activities that were not imported from Infor Learning Management: Confirmed, Registration Reported As Finished.
  • You cannot report activities as finished from within Infor HR Talent.
