Reviewing and updating estimated costs for out-of budget requests

Note: Not applicable if you are using Infor Learning Management.

You can update estimated costs to development activity requests only if they are in Requested status or Approved status.

  1. Select Development Planning > Learning Budgets > Implement Budgets.
  2. Select the New Requests tab.
  3. Select the development activity.
  4. Select the Estimated Costs tab.

If there were estimated costs associated with the development activity, these costs were automatically added when the request was assigned to a period and budget.

Note: (France localization only) For standard costs that are used to track hours outside of work, the number of units defaults from the estimated hours outside of work entered on the DIF request. Non-DIF activity requests will also inherit any hours outside of work standard costs that exist on the development activity. The number of units is zero and is not updatable.
    • To see the calculation details such as the as of date used, the number of units, the multiplier if applicable, and so on, open the cost record.

    • To delete a cost, select the cost, click Delete, and click Yes to confirm.

    • To modify the number of units, click the current number of unit, specify the new number, and click Save. The system recalculates the estimated cost.

    • To modify the estimated cost, select the current estimated cost, specify the new amount, and click Save.

Note: If you change the number of units for the same cost and save, the system will replace the amount you specified with the recalculated amount.
    • (DIF requests only) To update the estimated number of hours outside of work for all hours outside of work costs, open an hours outside of work cost, click Update Estimated Hours Outside Of Work, specify the number of hours outside of work, and click OK.

Note: You can also update the number of hours outside of work directly on the cost list.
    • To add a new estimated cost, click Helper List, select the cost to add (use Ctrl-Click to select multiple costs), and click Create Resource Activity Costs.

The costs are added. If the unit of measure matches the development activity unit of measure, the number of units for the development activity defaults. If the units of measure do not match, 1 unit defaults. You can change the number of units.
