Viewing and updating development activity requests

Note: Not applicable if you are using Infor Learning Management.

When you open a development activity request, information displayed on the activity form depends on your role and the status of the development activity.

  • An employee can see a summary form with a summary of the activity, a link to the full catalog details, session details (if registered) and personal development hours.

    • The employee can withdraw from a development activity, register for a session (approved development activity only), and cancel a registration.
  • A manager can open a direct report's activity request, see a summary form with a summary of the activity, a link to the full catalog details, session details (if registered) and the subordinate's personal development hours.
    • The manager can cancel a direct report's development activity, register the resource for a session (approved development activity only), and cancel a registration.
  • The learning manager can see the following information on the activity form:
    • The form header, displays the resource name, the activity, the total estimated costs, the total actual costs (if the request is approved).
    • The Missing Data tab displays only if there is a missing development activity or budget category on the record. You can specify the missing data on this tab.
      Note: The Budget tab displays only if the activity is part of a budget.
    • The Details tab always displays. It shows the detail of the development activity request, including the required flag, priority, and initiator.
    • The Costs tab displays the costs associated with a resource development activity. Open a cost to see the cost details
      Note: The Costs tab displays only if the activity is already associated with a budget.

      If the development activity is in the Prepare Plan stage, you can associate estimated costs to the development activity by clicking the Helper List icon and selecting the costs. You can also click a number of unit or an existing estimated cost to change the amount.

      If the development activity is in the Implement Plan stage, you can add actual costs to the development activity.

      To view the calculation details for a cost, click the cost.

    • The Registrations tab displays only for approved activities or for activities that were rejected, completed, canceled, or withdrawn after they were approved. You cannot register the resource on the Registrations tab. You can register the resource from the Actions menu of the activity form. You can cancel a registration from either the Registrations tab or the form header.
    • The Resource tab displays only for French localizations. It includes details about the resource such as the resource's manager, the organization unit, and the contract type.
