Defining and maintaining budget rounding rules

Note: Not applicable if you are using Infor Learning Management.

You must define at least one rounding rule. If you make one of the rounding rules that you define the default, it will automatically default to all budgets. You can override the rounding rule on individual budgets.

  1. Select Development Planning > Set Up > Budget Components > Rounding Rules.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Effective Date

    Required. Specify the effective date.

    Rounding Rule

    Required. Specify the name of the rounding rule.

    Description

    Specify the description of the rounding rule. If you leave this field blank, the rounding rule name defaults.

    Rounding Method

    Select the rounding method to be used when calculating budgets.

    Round To Precision

    Select the precision to be used when rounding budgets.

    Use As Default Rule

    Select this check box for this rule to default to all budgets.

    Note: Only one rounding rule can be used as a default at any given time.
    Active

    Select this check box to make the rounding rule active. Inactive rounding rules do not appear in lists.

  4. Click Save.
    Maintaining rounding rules:
    • To update a rounding rule, open the rounding rule, update any of the editable fields, select an effective date, and save.

    • To delete a rounding rule, open the rounding rule, enter an effective date, click Delete, and click Yes to confirm.

      Note: You cannot delete a rounding rule that is associated with a budget.
