Defining learning analysis rules

To view data in the Develop For Excellence, Capacity Analysis, and Failure Analysis views (under Development Planning > Reports), you must define an analysis period, the rating levels that you consider top performers, and the session capacity thresholds. After you define this data, you must run the Build Learning Analysis Records action.

Note: Capacity Analysis and Failure Analysis views do not display if you are using Infor Learning Management.
  1. Select Development Planning > Set Up > Learning Configuration > Learning Analysis Rules.
  2. On the Analysis Period tab, specify the date range for the analysis.
Note: You can change the analysis period dates at any time without rerunning the Build Learning Analysis Records action.

This date range determines the data that will be pulled in the analysis.

    • For the Develop For Excellence view, only employee appraisals and development activities completed within the analysis period are included.

    • For the Capacity Analysis view, only open and closed sessions within the analysis period are included.

Note: Not applicable if you are using Infor Learning Management.
    • For the Failure Analysis view, the counts include only the completed session participation and the failed to complete session participation with complete and fail to complete dates within the analysis period.

Note: Not applicable if you are using Infor Learning Management.
  3. On the Develop For Excellence tab, select Yes in the Use For Learning Analysis column for each rating level to track for excellence.

The analysis pulls any position that has resources with completed performance appraisals that match the rating levels that you select on this form.

Note: Run the Build Learning Analysis Records action whenever you add or change your Use For Learning Analysis selections.
  4. On the Capacity Analysis field, specify the percentage of full capacity that will display a yellow "above capacity" alert, and the percentage of full capacity that will display a red "below capacity" alert for the displayed sessions.
Note: Not applicable if you are using Infor Learning Management.
  5. Select an effective date for your changes, and click Save.
Follow-up task: Run the Build Learning Analysis Records action to generate the analysis data.
