Completing or failing to complete finished resource development activities

Note: If you are using Infor Learning Management, this process applies only to development activities defined in Development Planning.

A resource or resource manager can report a development activity as finished.

  • If a resource development activity is associated with a session, the activity displays on the Finished Activities Requiring Completion form as information to the learning manager. The learning manager can then complete (or fail to complete) the resource development activity by completing the resource's session participation on the Complete Sessions tab, as described in Completing or failing to complete resource session participation.

  • If a resource development activity is not associated with a session, the activity displays on the Finished Activities Requiring Completion form. The learning manager can then complete (or fail to complete if the activity is not required) the resource development activity directly on the Finished Activities Requiring Completion form.

  1. Select Development Planning > Registration And Completion > Complete Finished Activities.
  2. On the Finished Activities Requiring Completion form, select the activity and complete or fail to complete the activity using these steps:
    • To complete the activity, select Complete, specify the date of completion, and click OK.

Note: You can also complete the activity from Development Planning > Resources > Resource Activities. This action is available even if the development activity is not reported as finished.
    • To fail to complete the activity, select Fail To Complete, specify the required reason code and optional comments, and click OK.

Note: This action is valid only for non-required activities.
    • (Learning budgets only) To update the actual costs for the development activity, click the Update Actual Costs link. See Calculating or entering actual costs for resource development activities.
