Canceling or waiving approved development activities for finalized budgets

  1. Select Development PlanningLearning Budgets > Implement Budgets.
  2. On the Budget Details tab, open the budget to which the development activity is assigned.
  3. Select the development activity to cancel or waive.
    Note: You can also cancel or waive development activities on the Activities tab of Development Planning > Resources > Resource Activities, or on the Activities tab of the resource's development plan (Development Planning > Resources > Development Plans), or on the Development Tasks list (Development Planning > Development Tasks or Administrator > To Do > Development Tasks).
  4. Select the Cancel Activity or Waive action.
    Note: The Waive action is available only for required development activities, the Cancel Activity action is available only for non-required development activities.
  5. Select a reason code and provide comments, and click OK.

    The development activity displays on the budget with a Cancelled or Waived status. It also appears on Development Planning > Resources > Resource Activities, or on the Historical Activities panel on the Activities tab of the resource's development plan (Development Planning > Resources > Development Plans).

    If the resource was already registered, the registration is automatically cancelled.

    Note: Cancel, and Waive reason codes are defined in Administrator > Set Up with a subject of HCMEmployeeLearningStopped.
