Associating resource development activities with learning budgets

Resources can be assigned to development activities by their managers, by their mentors, or by learning managers. Resources can also request development activities for themselves.

In organizations that use learning budgets the learning manager must approve all development activity requests. It is the responsibility of the learning manager to ensure that each development activity is applied to the appropriate budget.

Learning managers and managers can reject non-required development activity requests in the Requested Activity state. After development activity requests are approved, managers, mentors, and learning managers can cancel non-required activities or waive required activities at any time. Resources can also withdraw their own development activity requests at any time.
