Performing manager-to-manager transfers

Use this procedure to transfer portions of a budget to a different manager.

  1. Select Compensation > Awarding > Awarding Process > Manager Awarding Views.
    Note: 

    Managers also have access to that functionality from Manager > Adjust Compensation > Compensation Awarding.

  2. Select or open the manager from which to transfer funds.
  3. Select Actions > Manager to Manager Transfer.
  4. On the Manager to Manager Transfer form, specify this information:
    Transfer To Manager
    Select the manager to which to transfer the funds.
    <Rule-Name> Transfer Amount
    For each planning rule that is displayed, specify the amount to transfer, or leave blank if no transfer applies to a specific rule.
    Note: For an Equity rule of type Units, the label is displayed as [Rule-Name] Transfer Units.
    E-mail Managers
    Select this check box to send an e-mail to the managers to notify them of the transfer.
    Subject
    If you selected E-Mail Managers, specify the subject of the email.
    Message
    If you selected E-Mail Managers, specify the body of the email.
  5. Click OK.
    The budget from which you transferred amounts is decreased by the amounts you transferred if the planning rule is configured to transfer budget amounts. If the planning rule is not configured to transfer budget amounts, the budget of the manager to whom you transfer the amounts is increased, but the budget from which you transferred the amounts is not decreased.
