Reassigning budgets

Managers and compensation analysts can use the Reassign Budget action to release budgets in Draft or Submitted status to lower-level managers who report up to them.

This feature must be enabled by the compensation analyst or administrator in addition to roll up budget approvals.

  1. Select Manager > Adjust Compensation > Compensation Awarding or Compensation Analyst > Awarding > Awarding Process > Roll Up Approval Views.
  2. Select an awarding view.
  3. Select a manager.
  4. Click Reassign Budget.
  5. Specify this information:
    Current Budget Owner
    The name of the current budget owner is displayed.
    New Budget Owner
    Select the new budget owner.
    Update Roll Up Budgets to New Budget Owner
    Select this check box to reassign all child budgets to the new budget owner.
  6. Click Submit.
    The budget is available to the reassigned manager to allocate awards and finalize the budget.
    The manager who reassigned the budget no longer has access to the budget and cannot perform any updates on their employee awards.
