Updating mass roll up supervisors

The Roll Up Supervisor Mass Update evaluates the supervisor structure and updates managers’ parent salary planning records. If changes were made to the supervisor structure, manager salary planning records are created or updated as of the new selected date. The action only updates the parent supervisors that are out of sync. The budget owner is updated, based on what is defined on the budget owner options on the awarding rules tab of the awarding view.

The Roll Up Supervisor Update action is only available for use by the compensation analyst and administrator. The Roll Up Supervisor Mass Update action updates the structure in Compensation Awarding with a new parent supervisor as of the selected date.

  1. Select Compensation Analyst > Awarding > Awarding Process > Roll Up Approval Views.
  2. On the Manager Awarding Views tab, click Roll Up Supervisor Mass Update.
  3. In the Supervisor Structure As Of Date field, select a date.
  4. Click Submit.
    A new parent supervisor is created and updated for the selected manager from the supervisors list.
    If the budget owner option is not defined on the Awarding Rules tab, the budget owner is the manager owner of the record.
    If the budget owner option is defined, the budget owner is evaluated based on the budget owner options.
