Assigning a step and grade schedule to a job

When you assign a step and grade schedule to a job, the step and grade schedule and grade have the default of any positions that are associated with this job. This assumes that the job defaulting rules are set up with a Default With Override option. The step can be specified on the position.

  1. Select Compensation > Jobs And Positions > Jobs.
  2. Open the job to which to assign a step and grade schedule.
  3. On the Detail tab, specify this information:
    Step and Grade Schedule
    Select the step and grade schedule to assign to this job.
    Grade
    Select the grade assigned to this job.
  4. Click Save.
