Completing your bonus objective periods

Throughout the bonus period, employees and managers can make changes to bonus objectives. For example, track the percent complete. At the end of the period, bonus objectives must be updated with a percent complete and a date of completion if 100%. The bonus objectives must also be updated with a rating if the goal is rated.

The employee can only indicate that the bonus period is complete. The manager must then make the bonus objectives period available for payout. Your manager can complete your bonus objectives period on your behalf.

Note: If a bonus objective for a bonus period uses a goal type with the Use External Results option selected, then the external results must be specified and the goal must be completed. These actions must happen before the manager can make the bonus period available for payment.
  1. Select To Do > Bonus Objectives.
  2. On the Active tab, select the compensation program and bonus period to complete.
  3. Click Complete Period.

    This action is available only for approved bonus periods.

    The request to complete the bonus period is sent to the manager's Inbasket. The manager can select Pay Out Ready to make the bonus objectives payouts available for processing or Pay Out Not Ready to put the payments on hold.
