Creating award does not meet minimum threshold validation

Note:

This validation is available on all planning rules.

If you define an award that does not meet minimum threshold validation, then the manager receives a message when the award is less than the minimum threshold that is defined on the rule.

Note:

If a lump sum rule is invoked, then the validation is not triggered.

  1. On the Validation Rules tab, select Create > Create Award Does Not Meet Minimum Threshold.
  2. Specify this information:
    Eligibility Group

If applicable, select the eligibility group for the validations.

    Process as Error

If you select this check box, the application does not process the award.

Only Process If Award Is Greater Than Zero

If you select this option, then you can process other updates to the awarding record without the validation being triggered. For example, a change to the performance rating or setting the resource salary award to zero. If the award is something other than zero, then the validation is triggered. The award amount is checked against the threshold amount or percent value.

    Percent Threshold, Amount Threshold

Specify the threshold increase percent or the amount increase. This validates that the awarded percent is at least this percent if the resource meets the criteria for the eligibility group.

Prorate Threshold By Resource Proration Factor

If the rule uses proration, select this option to prorate the threshold by the same proration factor as the award.

  3. Click Save.
