Attaching objective goals to bonus periods

  1. Select Manager > Adjust Compensation > Bonus Objectives.
  2. On My Staff, select the employee for which to define a bonus objective.

    A red alert denotes active bonus periods.

    The resource's current compensation programs and bonus objective periods are displayed on the Active tab.

  3. On the Active tab, select the compensation program and bonus objective period for which to define a bonus objective, and click Attach Bonus Objective.

    Or open the bonus period and click Attach Bonus Objective.

  4. You can select up to five goals.

    Goals that can be selected must be in Active status, have a goal type with the Use For Bonus Objectives option selected, and cannot be already attached to a bonus objective period.

    Only goals with dates that are included in the bonus period are displayed in the list.

  5. Click OK. The bonus objectives are created, if these conditions are met:
    • The total weight of the attached bonus objectives cannot exceed 100%.

    • If the Table Type field on the compensation table for the pay component has a value of Percent Step With Rating For Bonus Objective, the rating scale on the goal being attached must match the rating scale on the compensation table.
