Updating roll up supervisors

The Roll Up Supervisor Update action updates the parent supervisor on the Manager Salary planning. The Roll Up Supervisor Update action is used to create or update a new parent supervisor record when a change occurs on the supervisor structure. This action synchronizes the supervisor structure with the manager salary awarding views. It is only available for use by the compensation analyst and administrator.

  1. Select Compensation Analyst > Awarding > Budget Process.
  2. On the Manager Budgets And Awards tab, click Roll Up Supervisor Update.
  3. Select a new parent manager.
    The new parent supervisor cannot be the same as the current manager. The new parent supervisor cannot be a subordinate manager who reports to the current manager.
  4. Click Submit.
    A new parent supervisor is created and updated for the selected manager from the supervisors list.
    If the budget owner option is not defined on the Awarding Rules tab, the budget owner is the manager owner of the record.
    If the budget owner option is defined, the budget owner is evaluated based on the budget owner options.
