Finalizing awards

When awards are finalized, employee salary records are locked. The Finalize Awards action can be used by the budget owner, parent manager, and compensation analyst. The Finalize All Awards action can only be used by the compensation analyst.

  1. Verify that all employee awards have been updated.
  2. Select Manager > Adjust Compensation > Compensation Awarding or Compensation Analyst > Awarding > Awarding Process > Roll Up Approval Views.
  3. Select an awarding view.
  4. Select a manager and click Finalize Awards. If you are a compensation analyst, you can click Finalize All Awards.
    Records that are in Draft status for the selected manager and all subordinate managers are moved to Submitted status.
    Awards cannot be updated.
    If managers who report to the parent manager have not finalized their awards, an error message is displayed.
  5. To view errors, select Compensation Analyst > Awarding > Awarding Process > Roll Up Approval Views. If an error log exists, delete and purge errors by selecting the errors and clicking Purge Errors By Type.
