Creating new versions with rate updates

  1. Select Compensation > Set Up > Salary Structures > Salary Structures.
  2. In the Salary Structures section, highlight the version of the salary structure to copy with a new version date.
  3. Select Actions > Create New Version From Existing Version And Update Rates.
  4. Specify the new version date and the percent or flat amount by which the pay rates are to be increased. Optionally, specify a description. Click OK.
All active iterations are copied with a status of Preliminary. Each amount in the rate matrix is increased by the percentage or flat amount that you specified.
Note: Preliminary iterations are not copied.
  5. Optionally, specify additional modifications for individual rates.
    • To modify the pay rates in a linear format to be displayed one below the other, click the iteration number, modify the applicable rates, and click Save.
    • To modify the rates on the matrix, click inside the Status column of the iteration, modify the applicable rates, and click Save.
  6. To make the new version available, activate the applicable iteration or iterations, if you have geographic differentials.
Inactivating all iterations of a salary structure or salary structure/geographic differential makes that salary structure or salary structure and geographic differential inactive. You must remove all existing job, positions, and work assignment associations with a salary structure or salary structure and geographic differential to be inactivated before you inactivate all iterations.
