Viewing or updating rate progression hours

Rate progression hours can be imported from a payroll application or created manually. Verify that these hours are updated before processing rate progressions based on hours thresholds. These hours are used by the system to determine if a resource progresses to the next step.

When a progression rule including hours thresholds is processed and a resource is moved to the next step, the resource's hours balance is updated automatically. This update is based on the option that was chosen on the Hours Threshold Rule's Update Balance field.

  1. Select Compensation > Pay Rate Processing > Rate Progression > Rate Progression Hours.

    The hours balance for each resource displays.

  2. Select a resource to view the resource's detail record of hours balances.
  3. Click the Hours tab to view the hours balances update history.
  4. Click Create to manually add an hours balance for a payroll date, or open an hours balance to change the number of hours for a payroll date.
