Manager-initiated bonus objective processes

This table shows the bonus objective process when initiated by a manager. The compensation analyst can manually complete any step in this process.

Role Responsibility
Compensation analyst
  1. Creates the compensation program with bonus objective pay component.
  2. Enrolls resources into the compensation program.
  3. Creates bonus periods, unless they are created automatically.
Employee Optionally, if the approval process is used, approves the bonus compensation program. (First time only.)
Manager

Optionally, if the approval process is used, approves the bonus compensation program. (First time only.)

The delivered process flow includes two levels of manager approval.

Manager
  1. Adds bonus objectives to the employee's bonus period.
  2. Submits the bonus objectives for approval.
Employee Approves the bonus objective period.
Employee or manager Adds the goal attainment percentage and date complete.
Employee or manager Completes the bonus period.
Manager Approves the bonus period for completion if the employee completed the period.
Compensation analyst
  1. Performs the payout.
  2. Creates the bonus periods for the next period, unless the bonus periods are created automatically.
