Configuring password requirements for external entities

Within the context of external entity setup, password requirements for external users can be configured. External entity administrators can disable some of these settings by specifying 0 as the value or by deselecting the check box.

Password requirements that cannot be modified

  • One uppercase letter
  • One lowercase letter
  • One number
  • One special character from these ] [ ? / < ~ # ` ! @ $ % ^ & * ( ) + = { } | : " ; ' , >
  • User cannot reuse their last 3 passwords

  1. As an external entity administrator, click the profile icon and select External Entity Management.
  2. Select CANDIDATEEXTENTITY > Infor CloudSuite Identities.
  3. Click Password Management.
  4. Specify this information:
    Password will expire every
    Specify the number of days per password expiration period. To disable password expiration, specify 0.
    Password minimum length should be
    Specify the minimum number of characters that are required.
    Accounts will be locked after
    Specify the number of sign-in attempts that can be made before the account is locked.
    Accounts will be locked for
    Specify the number of minutes that the account of a candidate who has exceeded the maximum number of sign-in attempts is locked. When this period expires, the candidate can attempt to sign in again.
    Disable inactive accounts after
    Specify the number of days of inactivity that are required to disable an account. To disable account deactivation, specify 0.
    Password History
    Specify the number of new passwords that must be used before a previous password can be reused.
    Prohibit Password Reset
    Specify the time that is required to pass before a user can reset a password. For example, if 30 days is specified, then a user who resets the password cannot reset it until 30 days have passed.
