Configuring a process for runtime

Use this procedure for runtime configuration. This configuration affects the level of detail that is maintained in log files and the way in which notification about process execution occurs.

Note:

The process you configure must already be uploaded onto the system.

  1. Select Process Server Administrator > Configuration > Process Definitions.
  2. Select User, System, or Application Defined Processes.
  3. From the list of available processes, open the process to configure.
  4. Specify this information:
    Current Process Version
This number is the version of the process that is executed if multiple versions are created. By default, the newest version is run. That is, the highest number.
    Is Process Enabled
A process must be enabled in order to run it. When you are ready for a process to begin executing, verify that it is enabled.
    Is Activity Node Log Enabled
Select this check box to log all calls to activity nodes in a process. Depending on the size of a process, the number of actions it takes, log files can get large.
    Log Level
Two levels of logging detail are available.
    • Debug: Logs every action. This is equivalent to a system trace.
    • No Debug: Logs successful completions and failures only.
    Notify by Email
This option determines when a system administrator receives an email notification about flow execution. Select one of these options:
    • None: No email is sent in any case.
    • On Completion: Sends an email only after successful completion.
    • On Failure: Sends an email only after non completion.
    • On Completion or Failure: Sends an email in all cases.
    • Always: Sends an email in any case.
    Process Version
If more than one version of a process exists, you can change the version of the process that is executed.
  5. Click Save.

What are User, System, and Application Defined Processes?

Processes can be defined in several ways:

  • User-defined: These are processes that have been created using Infor Process Designer at your site. After they have been successfully uploaded onto the server that runs Infor Process Automation, they are available for configuring.
  • System-defined: These are processes that are delivered by the Infor Landmark Technology environment.
  • Application-defined: These are processes that are delivered by an Infor application such asInfor HR Talent. These processes are business events such as, AddAddress, ChangePayRate, and BeginLeave. They can be considered templates. Designers at your site can make changes to them.

Additional information about these processes is in your application documentation.
