Configuring WebSphere to support PNG images

This topic is for Websphere 7.0 users only. Websphere is used only for on-premises implementations. Candidate Space and Career Space contain PNG images. Websphere 7.0 does not support PNG graphics. Use this procedure to configure the WebSphere Application Server to support the PNG MIME type.

  1. Sign in to the WebSphere Application Server Integrated Solutions Console.
  2. Select Environments > Virtual Hosts.
  3. Click the virtual host name.

    You can find the virtual host name in the LASYSDIR/ environment.properties file. For example, 

    com.lawson.was.vhost.gen-law-env=LMRK_vhost
  4. Select Additional Properties > MIME Types.
  5. Click New.
  6. Specify this information:
    MIME Type
    Specify image/png.
    Extension
    Specify png.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Save.
