About updating an external candidate email

A recruiter or third party can update a candidate’s email on the candidate’s profile. If an email is used for sign-in, then the sign in information is also updated.

When the primary and or alternate email is updated and the Template For Notification Of Sign In Change field is populated at the organization level, an email is sent to the old primary email address. The purpose of this email is to confirm the change was intentional. A candidate correspondence record is created when the email is sent.

If verification is required when updating sign-in information, then an email is sent to the new email address with a link to change the password. A candidate that does not reset the password cannot sign in to candidate space. This candidate must use the Forgot Password link on the sign-in page to update the password.

If the primary and alternate passwords are changed, then the reset password email is sent to the primary email.
