Adopting the new Employee experience for all employees

After you have completed your evaluation, you can make the new Employee experience the default experience for all your users.

For detailed information about editing existing configurations and creating new configurations, see Configuration Console for the web and Landmark Pattern Language (LPL) in the Landmark developer documentation.

  1. Sign in as Administrator.
  2. Select Configuration Console > Configuration > Console.
  3. Search for the EmployeeSelfService web application.
  4. If EmployeeSelfService is available in the Configured Web Applications menu, select it. If not, create a new EmployeeSelfService web application configuration.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. To update the menu, set the navigation bar to XiEmployeeMenu.
  7. To update the home page, set the home page to XiEmployeeStartPage.
  8. If you are using a custom home page, set the custom home page to the file name of the page.

For example, XiEmployeeWelcome.html. This page is the default custom home page for the new Employee experience and is the same as the EmployeePreviewShortBanner.html template.

You can select a home page template from several options:

    • EmployeePreviewShortBanner.html
    • EmployeePreviewTallBanner.html
    • EmployeePreviewGradient.html
    • EmployeePreviewSplitBanner.html
    • EmployeePreviewMonochrome.html
    • EmployeePreviewFullBackground.html

To customize these home page templates, see Configuring and deploying customized homepages with HomePages.zip and Customizing homepages for Employee Preview. Apply any steps for the EmployeeSelfServiceLite web application to the EmployeeSelfService web application instead.

  9. Click Submit.
For example, the LPL can be modified to look like this:
    navigation bar is XiEmployeeMenu
    home page is XiEmployeeStartPage
    custom home page is EmployeePreviewShortBanner.html
