Outbound troubleshooting

This table provides troubleshooting steps for common problems that can occur with outbound BODs.

Problem Possible solutions

The process was completed but no workunit was created.

Was the business process completed correctly?
  • See the Infor Process Automation Services Reference Guide for steps on how to correctly trigger the service.

Is the correct service for this business process enabled?

  • See the Infor HR Talent Integration Guide for Integration Architect in the Infor HR Talent Integrations Documentation Library.

Where are workunits created?

  1. In the search window, specify Workunits or select Process Server Administrator > Administration > Workunits.
  2. Locate the workunit generated by your business process.

If the workunit does not exist for your process, verify that the service definition and application process are enabled.

A Process Automation workunit was created but no BOD was received by ION.

Examine the workunit log to see if an error was encountered.

Is the ION Connect Server online and running?

Is the ION Connect server correctly configured to access the server database as a Connection Point?

Is the SSJE_ION_Connector logical ID variable the same value as the ION logical ID for the connection point?

See the ION Connect Administration Guide.

ION received the BOD but did not send it to another system. Verify if the SSJE_ION_Connector logical ID variable is the same value as the logical ID in the ION Connect Connection Point.

Is the ION Connect server correctly configured to route this type of BOD to the other systems?

See the ION Connect Administration Guide.

Another system received the BOD but it was in error.

Identify the specifics of the error in the other application or in a Confirmation BOD that was sent back from the system or the Error BOD in ION Connect.

Verify the configuration settings in both Infor HR Talent and the other system that may make the data being sent incompatible.

The workunit was created and these are errors in the workunit. With logging enabled, review the log file output to verify data being loaded for each variable.
