Defining learning analysis rules

To view data in the Capacity Analysis and Failure Analysis views (under Learning and Development > Reports), you must define an analysis period, the rating levels that you consider top performers, and the session capacity thresholds. After you define this data, you must run the Build Learning Analysis Records action.

  1. Select Learning and Development > Set Up > Configuration > Learning Analysis Rules.
  2. On the Analysis Period tab, specify the date range for the analysis.
Note: You can change the analysis period dates at any time without rerunning the Build Learning Analysis Records action.

This date range determines the data that will be pulled in the analysis.

    • For the Capacity Analysis view, only open and closed sessions within the analysis period are included.

    • For the Failure Analysis view, the counts include only the completed session participation and the failed to complete session participation with complete and fail to complete dates within the analysis period.

  3. On the Capacity Analysis tab, specify the percentage of full capacity for when a yellow "above capacity" alert is displayed, and the percentage of full capacity for when a red "below capacity" alert is displayed for sessions.
  4. Select an effective date for your changes, and click Save.
Follow-up task: Run the Build Learning Analysis Records action to generate the analysis data.
