Defining action reasons for Learning and Development actions

You must have administrator privileges to perform this task.

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Action Reasons.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Subject

    Select the appropriate subject. The subject represents the type of action for which the action reason is valid. SeeLearning and Development action reason subjects

    Effective Date
    Select the date on which the reason takes effect.
    Action Reason

    Required. Specify the name of the action reason.

    Note: 

    You can have more than one action reason for a subject. For example, HCMEmployeeLearningStopped is used to reject, withdraw, cancel, or fail to complete an activity request or session. You can define an action reason for each of these actions using the same subject.

    Description

    Specify the action reason description. If left blank, the action reason name defaults.

    Status

    Select Active to make this action reason active. Inactive action reasons are not displayed in lists.
